Music

The music a DJ plays at your function is probably THE single most important factor that will make your night a success or failure.

It is obvious that if a DJ can read a crowd and play music that they like and they get up and dance it will be a success. People will not generally dance to music that they hate.

At MyWeddingDisco.com my ‘job satisfaction’, for want of a better description, comes from seeing a full dance floor, a dance floor that is full of people who are enjoying themselves and who go away thinking they have had a brilliant night and maybe have even taken a card from me with the promise of some future work.

The Facts & Figures

I carry over 10,000 tracks to any function. This music covers all genres from 1950’s and big band material to present day hits, and i am always adding material.

If special tracks or styles of music are required that are different to that i take as a standard please let me know and i will source the material you require.

Your own CD's can be provided if you have material that i do not have, or have problems sourcing.

I find that our customers usually have a good idea of what their guests will be looking for from me in terms of music, and any relevant information or requests given to me prior to the function are a great help and also give a personal feel to the evening, if requests for, or by guests, can be included.

In addition to songs that you would like me to include at a function, those that you definitely do not want played, for whatever reason, should be given to me as well. For example, Neil recently did an engagement party for a couple and the girl asked him not to play the song that the guy had played as his first dance at his first wedding – quite understandably.

Music volume is very important. I would rather be asked to turn my music volume up than to turn it down.

Music should be loud enough to create a lively atmosphere but quiet enough that guests can still converse with one another.

Please call or send me an Email if you have ideas about the music you may wish played at your function.
